Our Staff
Margaret
Margaret began sewing at eight years of age, and home economics was her favourite class at school. Upon leaving school she worked for several years as a Home Economist with Brisbane Gas Coy. While bringing up her family she taught home economics and also demonstrated Pfaff sewing machines. Home sewing in all its forms has been a lifetime hobby, and culminated with the birth of Bayside StitchCraft in May 2000.
Margaret participates in regular training courses in all our sewing machine brands. She teaches several Classes and Club days. She loves conducting her Sewing Club days and her “5D Embroidery Software” Classes.

Peter
Peter left school to begin a career with Queensland Pastoral Supplies In Brisbane. As Pfaff importers at the time, Peter trained as a sewing machine mechanic. He also developed his sewing skills and became a teacher in Free Motion Embroidery, gradually expanding his teaching skills to include other sewing fields. Peter went to the Sewing Machine Expo in Germany where he did several courses in teaching patchwork, machine embroidery and using the “new” computerized sewing machines.
Since joining Bayside StitchCraft, Peter’s training has been on-going, satisfying all technical & operational training requirements with Brother, Bernina, Janome, Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff. Peter is a qualified Master Technician for Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff embroidery sewing machines and overlockers. Peter is an extremely talented and versatile patchworker, quilter, embroiderer, teacher and technician.

Charlotte
You'll recognise Charlotte by her lovely Irish accent in the Shop! Charlotte and her family came to the Redlands via Jersey in the Channel Islands twelve years ago. With two sons completing high school in Cleveland, she has discovered her love for patchwork and quilting with a vengeance. She loves her Janome sewing machine, but with the completion of her first two quilt tops, we can't keep her away from our HandiQuilter frame and Avante quilter!
Charlotte is quick to learn and loves to help our customers in every way she can.
