We are Easy to Find
From Cleveland business and shopping centre, go south along Bloomfield St for about 500 metres. Turn right into Ross Court at the Ampol Service Station. We are at the end of Ross Court on the right.
Bus tours and other large groups are always welcome. Just let us know a day or two before you visit if you can. Whether visiting us alone or with a group, you will always be assured of a warm welcome at Bayside StitchCraft.
Our using opening hours are 9.00am to 5.00pm (EST) Monday to Friday and 9.00am to 4.00pm (EST) on Saturday. We are closed on Sundays and public holidays
We will open outisde these hours for visitors and groups by prior arrangement whenever possible. Just call us!

Our Staff
Margaret
Margaret began sewing at eight years of age, and home economics was her favourite class at school. Upon leaving school she worker for several years as a Home Economist with Brisbane Gas Coy. While bringing up her family she taught home economics and also demonstrated Pfaff sewing machines. Home sewing in all its forms has been a lifetime hobby, and culminated with the birth of Bayside StitchCraft in May 2000.
Margaret participates in regular training courses in all our sewing machine brands. She teaches several Classes and Club days. She loves conducting her Pfaff “Over 40’s” Club and her “4D Embroidery Software” Classes.

Peter
Peter left school to begin a career with Queensland Pastoral Supplies In Brisbane. As Pfaff importers at the time, Peter trained as a sewing machine mechanic. He also developed his sewing skills and became a teacher in Free Motion Embroidery, gradually expanding his teaching skills to include other sewing fields. Peter went to the Sewing Machine Expo in Germany where he did several courses in teaching patchwork, machine embroidery and using the “new” computerized sewing machines.
Since joining Bayside StitchCraft, Peter’s training has been on-going, satisfying all technical & operational training requirements with Brother, Bernina, Janome, Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff. Peter is a qualified Master Technician for Husqvarna Viking and Pfaff embroidery sewing machines and overlockers.
Peter an extremely talented and versatile patchworker, quilter, embroiderer, teacher and technician.

Janet
Janet has many years experience with Janome, Husqvarna Viking, Brother, BabyLock, Elna and Singer sewing machines. She has attended training conventions with Brother and Janome in Australia and overseas. She has held several Store manager positions during her career and spent several years as a Janome Consultant and Help Line operator.
Teaching patchwork, quilting, appliqué, machine and free-hand embroidery, and dressmaking, Heirloom is Janet’s love. She has in-depth knowledge and skill in all these sewing fields which she loves to pass on.

Brenda
Brenda began her career teaching sewing at a high school in the UK. Upon coming to Australia with husband Chris in 1982 she began a career with Janome as a demonstrator, sewing adviser and sales specialist.
Since joining Bayside StitchCraft over five years ago, Brenda has fallen in love with all our sewing brands, undertaking training sessions with most of them. Brenda loves overlockers, (she almost makes the sewing machine redundant!) . She loves sewing with leather too. Yes, Brenda can show you how to sew leather with your domestic sewing machine!
Brenda teaches classes at the shop in patchwork, appliqué and garment making.

Barbara
Barb came into our shop soon after we opened, fell in love with our fabrics and refused to leave. We just had to find her a job. She is now fully trained at BSC. Since joining us Barb has learned patchwork and quilting, machine embroidery, just loves her Brother embroidery machine, her Husqvarna Designer 1 and her Janome overlocker. Barb has excellent color blending taste and her opinions are regularly sought by our customers. If you are not yet into creative sewing, beware, Barbs enthusiasm is infectious and you are likely to leave us with much more than you bargained for!

Carolyn
Carolyn discovered us soon after we opened and offered to teach a few
Classes. She is a very gifted designer and teacher who has owned her own shop for many years and has had many of her designs published. Carolyn loves her Pfaff, but her quilt designs look fabulous no matter which machine they are made on.
Carolyn’s Creative Club and Overlocker Know How is enjoying its eighth year and she usually has several new classes progressively on the go through the year.
